About Oak Lawn
This vibrant corner of Dallas proper is as distinctive and inviting as it sounds. It's actually one of the city's larger residential hotspots, covering 12 square miles just north of downtown. It encompasses two other smaller, but equally well-known neighborhoods, Turtle Creek and Uptown, and is home to thousands of professionals and urban living lovers. There is such a wide range of housing styles available in Oak Lawn, from upscale high rise condominiums and luxury townhouses to renovated four-plexes and single-family cottages. Even the most decisive shopper will have a hard time narrowing their choices down to one.
Those who call Oak Lawn home are never at a loss for things to do. The popular Katy Trail runs through the heart of it, resolving at the always-happening American Airlines Center and Victory Park. Main avenues McKinney, Lemmon and Cedar Springs are overflowing with some of Dallas' best dining and drinking establishments, while boutiques and specialty shops offer one-of-a-kind finds no mall would ever dream of carrying.
Other perks of living in the area include:
- Close proximity to Dallas Love Field, Dallas Design District, West Village, Uptown and the tony Highland Park Village
- Nearby cultural attractions such as the Dallas Theater Center and downtown Arts District
